What Bevr’s AI does, and what it does not do

Bevr is run by typing or talking to an assistant, so it is fair to ask what that assistant is, what it does with what you tell it, and what it will not do. This page answers that in plain terms before it says anything about why you might use it.

Where the assistant runs, and what happens to your words

Bevr uses Anthropic’s Claude models, which we run through Amazon Bedrock in the United States. When you ask for something, your message and the parts of your records the task needs are sent to that model so it can work out what you meant and act on it. The privacy page says what is sent, where it goes and how long it is kept.

What it does when you ask

You tell the assistant what you want in your own words, and it does the admin for you. Draft, send, and track invoices without leaving the conversation. Ask “who owes me money?” and Bevr answers with a real figure, not an estimate. It reads every invoice, subtracts what has already been paid, leaves out drafts and settled invoices, and ages the rest. For a job, log the hours and the materials and it tells you the margin on the job — what you billed minus what it really cost.

It also handles the follow-up that normally waits on you. Bevr chases your customers, not just you: it emails a customer as an invoice falls past due, and Reminders stop the moment a payment covers the invoice. You can type any of this, or Tap the mic and say what you need. Bevr transcribes it and gets on with it.

What it does not do

The assistant is not left to act on its own. Bevr shows you the confirmation before anything goes to a customer, so an email or an invoice leaves only after you say so.

It also stays inside what it is given. If you ask it to track something specific to your trade and it builds a custom skill you approve, you choose who can use it. It keeps its own records: they link to your customers and jobs, but do not feed your invoices or reports. In other words, the assistant acts on your records when you ask, and leaves the judgment to you.

Things an assistant like this cannot do for you:

  • Promise a result it cannot see, such as whether a customer will pay.
  • Know a fact you never gave it or that is not in your records.
  • Replace the advice of a bookkeeper, an accountant or a lawyer.
